Wildlife viewing areas are shown throughout the Atlas. Species are highlighted with best times of year for viewing.

For those travelers who don't want to leave their wildlife viewing to chance, The BC Atlases point out opportunities and areas with times of year for planned wildlife viewing. These wildlife viewing opportunities include visiting birding hotspots, like bird festivals, sanctuaries and flyway locations; spawning runs for various fish species, whale migration routes and habitat areas for animals like bighorn sheep, grizzly, mountain goat, moose, bison and eagles.
